APGENCO SE Recruitment Results-2011

A. The selection of the candidate shall be based on the following criteria prescribed under weighted average selection method
(a) Written test consists of 100 questions carrying 1 mark to each question. Total marks secured in the written test are restricted to 50 marks.
Section.A: Questions on core academic curriculum of respective discipline.
Section-B : Questions on power plant related topics of Thermal/Hydel.
The syllabus for the examination is shown in the Annexure.
The minimum qualifying marks in the written test – OCs – 40%, BCs – 35%, SCs, STs
and PHs – 30%.
(b) Weightage marks :
(i) 30 marks will be allocated against marks obtained in the qualifying examination of Diploma (marks secured in Diploma X 30/Total marks in diploma).
(ii) weightage up to 10 marks will be given for passing of qualifying examination of Diploma up to the date of notification @ of 2 marks for each completed year of passing. Fraction of months will be ignored.
(iii) Service weightage to contract labour worked in Power Generating Stations of APGENCO:
Service for more than 6 months – 10 marks
Service for less than 6 months – 5 marks
Note: Candidates claiming experience in APGENCO have to submit Gate
Pass/Annual Account Slip of EPF i.e., minimum one gate pass for the
candidates who are claiming as contract labour to the proof of working for less than 6 months or PF membership and minimum of seven gate passes or Annual Accounts Slip of EPF for the candidates claiming who haveworked as contract labour for more than 6 months.
B. Final Merit List will be drawn taking into consideration the marks secured both in written test and the marks awarded under weighted average method as mentioned at para-7(b) above.
C. The candidates being ranked high in the Final Merit List, community wise will be selected as per rules in vogue.

D. The candidates will be selected and allotted to Zones/Generating Stations as per their Rank in the merit list. Selection shall be made on State Wide merit, in respect of non-local candidates and allotment to Zones shall be made as per the preference given by candidate against the actual vacancies. The said preferences are only indicative for being considered to the extent possible but not binding. Therefore, the APGENCO has the power to assign a successful candidate to any notified post in the Zone in respect of non-local candidates, for which, he/she is considered to be qualified and eligible, subject to fulfilling the selection criteria. Mere claim of preference for any zone for allotment against vacancy does not confer any right to selection for that Zone in particular or any Zone in general.

E. Candidates have to produce Original documents viz.Date of Birth Certificate, Educational Qualification certificate/s, community certificate, physical disability certificate (disability not less than 40%) issued by the concerned competent Medical Board, if any, study/residence certificate, Gate Pass/Annual Account slip of EPF as mentioned under note of Para-7(A)(b) in support of experience, if any and other particulars for verification as and when required and called for. If the particulars furnished in the Online Application Form do not tally with the Original documents produced by the Candidates, his/her candidature will be rejected.

F. The persons already in Government Service/autonomous bodies/other Corporations etc., whether in permanent or temporary capacity or as work charged employees must take print out of the application after properly filled and get it endorsed by his/her employer and keep it with him/her ready, so as to, submit the same as and when called for. G. The appointment of selected candidates will be subject to their being found medically fit in the appropriate medical classification.

Reservation to Local Candidates:
Reservation to the local candidates is applicable as provided in the Rules and as Amended from time to time in force as on the date of notification. The candidates claiming reservation as Local candidates should obtain the required study certificates (from Class IV to X) or Residence Certificate in the proforma only for those candidates who have not studied in any Educational Institutions as the case may be. The relevant certificates may be got ready with authorized signature and kept with the candidates for verification as and when required
